On this page are some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the Sick Puppies World crew. This information can also be found in a thread on the forum at: http://sickpuppiesworldcrew.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=544.
What is Sick Puppies World Crew? Sick Puppies World Crew is a fan site that brings together fans of Sick Puppies from all over the world. There is a message board, contests, free exclusive content and interaction directly from the band. Sick Puppies World Crew (SPWC) is a combination of a fan club, fan forum and a street team – with all the benefits of each combined into one amazing place. The goals of SPWC are to promote the band while getting to know other fans and having fun while earning exclusive prizes and opportunities to meet the band. Back to the top Who can join SPWC? Anyone who is age 13 or older. Back to the top Why do I have to be a certain age to join? Because of COPPA laws, all members must be 13 years of age or older. Back to the top I’m not in the United States, can I join? Absolutely! If you have an email address and are at least 13 years of age, you can join. Not only do we welcome everyone from every part of the world, we are working on a language code that allows people to post in different character sets (like Russian letters, Greek letters, et cetera). Back to the top Does it cost anything to join? Absolutely not. SPWC is 100% free. Back to the top How do I know it's legit? Sick Puppies World Crew is the official fan site of Sick Puppies. There is no cost or obligation to join. Back to the top Who runs Sick Puppies World Crew? Sick Puppies World Crew is the official fan forum and street team of Sick Puppies. The band, management and administrative team run SPWC. Back to the top How do I sign up? Signing up for SPWC is a two part process. In order to be a full member you need to sign up for the newsletter (by clicking on the "Join" link to the left) and then register to be on the forum (by clicking on the "forum" link to the left). Back to the top How is it different from a fan club? Unlike the traditional fan club, SPWC is FREE. There are no membership dues or donations requested or required to join. No one is excluded based on their willingness or ability to pay a fee. We believe that you should be able to get benefits based on your dedication to a band, rather than being randomly drawn for such prizes. Back to the top How is it different from a street team? SPWC promotes the band in ways that a traditional street team would. Members volunteer to hang posters, hand out stickers, collect names on the Newsletter Sign Up sheets at shows and even help sell CDs. Members earn points for their efforts and can redeem those points for cool prizes. Prizes include (but are not limited to) free concert tickets, autographed memorabilia, staged-used items (such as guitar strings and picks), t-shirts, cds and exclusive meet & greets with the band. Back to the top What are the rules and guidelines? There is a comprehensive list of guidelines and terms of agreement on the forum. Those can be found on the forum at: http://www.sickpuppiesworldcrew.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=541. Back to the top What do I have to do to participate? Sign up for the newsletter and the forum. Then you can read messages, reply to messages, ask the band questions, make friends with other fans and even apply to be an SPWC ambassador. Whether you’re content to just receive updates from the band in email or if you want to dive into all the contests and activities – we welcome you to SPWC. Your experience and enjoyment is completely based on your interests and level of participation. Back to the top What is required of me to be in Sick Puppies World Crew? The only thing required of you is to sign up and be respectful to all SPWC members and to be at least 13 years of age. Back to the top I'm already part of the site. Why am I not part of SPWC? Your email address must be verified and you must sign up for the newsletter mailings as well as registering for the message board. See “How Do I Sign Up” for the links. Back to the top Can I contact the band through the site? Yes! We have a place where you can ask the band questions. No question is too outrageous, even ones about zombies (and yes, that has already been asked and answered if you think we are joking). The only limitations are the questions must be respectful and non-invasive into the band’s personal and family lives. Back to the top Can I get Meet & Greets, pre-sale tickets or other prizes if I become a member? Because we want to keep everything 100% free, we believe you can earn your special privileges by being involved in promoting the band. Unlike many fan clubs where you pay to join and then cross your fingers and hope to be chosen for a random meet & greet pass, here you can earn points and cash them in for just that – as well as many more prizes! We are in the process of working on pre-sale tickets as well as merchandise discounts. There will be a site announcement to let SPWC know as soon as we have that in place. Back to the top What is a Meet and Greet and how does it work? This is a special pass to meet Sick Puppies at a concert date. This pass does NOT give you admission to the show. Tickets must be purchased separately. Back to the top Do I get paid to promote the band? While you don’t get cash to promote the band, you can earn points to cash in for cool prizes. Some of the prizes are free concert tickets, autographed memorabilia, exclusive videos, and exclusive MP3 downloads. Back to the top How do I earn points? There is a list in the message board with complete details on the point system. You can find that information here: http://www.sickpuppiesworldcrew.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2 Back to the top Where do I turn in my list of points I believe I’ve earned? There is a post on the message board where you can post what you’ve done as well as the proof of your hard work. You can find that link here: http://www.sickpuppiesworldcrew.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=542. Back to the top How can I turn my points in for prizes? Just visit SPWC “store" thread in the Exclusive Contents Forum. There you will find the exclusive items that are available for your points. That thread is available here: http://www.sickpuppiesworldcrew.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=545. Back to the top Is it just a message board / fan forum? Not at all! While much of the activities are explained and worked on in the message board, SPWC is so much more. We have contests, activities and interactions with Sick Puppies and their fans through MySpace, Facebook, Concerts and events. We work in direct correlation with Sick Puppies and their management team. We are part of the sickpuppies.net family. Back to the top Where can I get the latest information about the band? Emails are periodically sent out to all SPWC members. SPWC also has specific topics about the band on the message board including concert dates, articles, videos and a Q&A section where the band answers questions directly from their fans. You can also check out the links by clicking on "Links" to the left. Back to the top Why am I not getting Sick Puppies newsletter? First check to make sure you are signed up for the newsletter. There is a form to sign up (click on the "Join" link to the left). If you fill that out correctly and verify your email address, you should receive the newsletters. Back to the top How do I get promotional materials to hand out? We will have one or two people covering each show. The Ambassadors will have the first chance to promote the shows. If you would like to cover a show, you can send an email to: sickpuppiesworldcrew@gmail.com. Information to include:

Stickers to hand out at the concert (available at the merchandise table the day of the show). Fliers – available to download and print at your home or work place. Back to the top Where can I hang the promotional posters? The most common places are music stores, college campuses and coffee shops – but don’t let that limit you! Anywhere you think SP fans would be and see the posters are great places! Just make sure you get permission from the store/shop managers before hanging posters. Back to the top Who do I give the stickers and fliers to? The stickers and fliers can be given out to everyone who attends the show. Additionally, the fliers can be given out to friends, neighbors, coworkers and passersby. Back to the top Are there things I can do online to promote the band? Absolutely! You can post up banners on public message boards to promote the band and SPWC. Additionally, putting songs and videos on your personal website, message board, MySpace or Facebook is a great way to promote the band – and earn points for doing so! Wear your Sick Puppies merchandise or hand out fliers, posters, stickers, etc. Back to the top Can I donate money to the band or SPWC? Back to the top What if I want to do even more? You can consider applying to be a SPWC Ambassador. For more information, see the next FAQ entries, and check out this thread on the forum: http://www.sickpuppiesworldcrew.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=543. Back to the top What is an Ambassador? A SPWC Ambassador is a team leader for their country, state and/or region. Back to the top Can I post SPWC content on my personal site, public sites or share exclusive content with my friends? No. The exclusive content is a benefit you earn by contributing to Sick Puppies and the World Crew. It is unfair to everyone who has earned the right to view and hear the content, as well as unfair to the band. When you sign up for the crew, you agree not to share any content, to download or distribute it in any manner. If you are caught doing any of the above, it will result in your account being suspended or terminated. You are responsible for your account privacy and any actions that may occur under your name, so guard your password as you would any other sensitive information.
